Into the Wild summary

Into the Wild  is about a young boy named Chris McCandless who sets out on a Journey to the Alaskan wild. Chris had everything he could ever wanted. A girlfriend, lots of money, and a family. But he choose to throw it away and start living on the land as he put it. He gave $24,000 to charity from his own bank account, cut his credit cards, and disappeared without a trace of him left.

Jon Krakauer Biography

Jon Krakauer was born on April 12th 1954 in Corvallis Oregon. His father introduced him to mountaineering at 8. Later, in 1996, he climbed Mt. Everest but however it took the life of 4 teammate. Krakauer wrote a book on his experiences on Everest called "Into Thin Air". It became a #1 New York Times best seller and has been translated into 24 different languages. His latest book, "Under the Banner of Heaven: A Story of Violent Faith", was published in July 2003. He has spent 4 years researching and writing it.

Places I would love to go

If I could go to any place, I would go to Scotland. I would go there because I've heard that’s where bag pipes originated. I really want to get one and just try it out. But I also want to go there because it's a beautiful place to observe. I would also love to see if the legend of the Loch Ness monster is real or not. I believe there might be some ancient animal in there but I don’t think of it to the extent that others think of it.
